The third installment of the Tales from the Cthulhuverse presents a true classic from Lovecraftian lore: The Shadow Over Innsmouth. This comic takes a VERY modern look into the story, focusing on two college students who are looking to sew their wild oats before their final exams. The pair decide to travel to the fabled town of Innsmouth, and unexpectedly encounter something out of a travel show. Twists and turns eventually provide the reader with unexpected outcomes, leading us into a cult ritual that provides everyone involved with a finality that whets the blood thirst of all true fans of Lovecraftian horror.

The art is top notch, and the writing is excellent, keeping true to the original without overstepping the boundaries of taste. The writers also introduce trivia that piques the interest of the reader, such as the mating rituals of the angler fish. The Shadow Over Innsmouth brings the reader to a new understanding of ancient lore that proves to be horrific to a modern audience beyond their classic understanding of Lovecraftian horror.
